Sugaring & Waxing

Smooth, long-lasting hair removal performed by our experienced specialists — Beth Snodgrass, Sugaring Specialist, and Hailey Crawford, Waxing Specialist. Whether you prefer the all-natural sugaring method or traditional waxing, our team delivers fast, thorough results with minimal discomfort.

What’s the Difference? Sugaring vs. Waxing

Sugaring uses a paste made from sugar, lemon, and water — completely natural, hypoallergenic, and applied at body temperature. The paste is applied against the direction of hair growth and removed with the growth, reducing breakage and ingrown hairs. Ideal for sensitive skin.

Waxing uses a traditional resin-based wax applied and removed against the direction of hair growth. Highly effective for coarse or dense hair.

Both methods remove hair from the root for results that last 3–6 weeks.

Before Your Appointment

  • Hair must be at least ¼ inch long (about 2–3 weeks of growth) to be waxed or sugared

  • No tanning before your appointment — this increases sensitivity and risk of irritation

  • No tanning after — freshly waxed or sugared skin is more susceptible to burning

  • Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and AHAs/BHAs for 48 hours before your appointment

  • Stay well hydrated — hydrated skin waxes and sugars more comfortably

After Your Appointment

  • Avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, sun) for 24 hours

  • Wear loose, breathable clothing after body services

  • Exfoliate gently starting 48 hours post-service to prevent ingrown hairs

  • Moisturize daily to keep skin smooth between appointments

Frequently Asked Questions

Does sugaring hurt less than waxing?

Many clients find sugaring more comfortable because the paste is applied at body temperature and removes hair in the direction of growth, reducing breakage. However, pain tolerance varies — both methods are fast and very manageable.

How long do results last?

3–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular appointments, hair often grows back finer and sparser over time.

Can I get waxed or sugared while pregnant?

Yes — both are safe during pregnancy. Keep in mind that skin may be more sensitive during pregnancy, so communicate with your specialist throughout the service.

How often should I come in?

Every 4–6 weeks is ideal for most clients. Regular clients maintain smoother results over time as hair gradually becomes finer.
